Plaintiff Asks JPML to Create Talcum Powder Products MDL; Suggests Southern District of Illinois as Potential Venue

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– A plaintiff involved in one of the growing number of lawsuits filed for alleged injuries associated with the use of talcum powder products such as Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower has asked the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to create a multidistrict litigation docket, HarrisMartin Publishing is reporting.

The motion was filed on July 15 with the JPML; in it, plaintiff Tanashiska Lumas said that a coordinated docket was necessary given that at least 11 actions are now currently pending in 10 different jurisdictions across the United States.
