Miss. Woman Files Talc-Based Powder Exposure Suit in Federal Court, Says J&J Put ‘Unreasonably Dangerous’ Product on Market

ABERDEEN, Miss. –– A Mississippi woman has filed a talc-based powder exposure suit in Mississippi federal court, accusing Johnson & Johnson and Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies Inc. of placing an unreasonably dangerous product into the stream of commerce, that did not treat or cure any serious disease.

In her July 1 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, plaintiff Ada Rich-Williams said that she used Johnson & Johnson’s talc-based powder products two to three times per week for approximately 20 years.

Rich-Williams was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March 2008, the complaint said.
