Missouri Judge Moves Talcum Powder Trial up by 2 Weeks by Sua Sponte Order

ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri state court judge has moved a talcum powder trial date up by two weeks by a sua sponte order, according to a recent docket entry.
On June 20, Judge Rex M. Burlison of the Missouri Circuit Court for St. Louis City ordered that the trial in the multi-plaintiff lawsuit begin on Feb. 6, 2017; the case was originally scheduled for trial on Feb. 21.
The underlying case –– filed by several plaintiffs contending that they developed ovarian cancer as a result of using talcum-based powder products –– was filed in Aug. 2015. Since, the …
