Calif. Plaintiff Files Talc-Based Powder Exposure Suit, Says Daily Use Caused Wife’s Ovarian Cancer

LOS ANGELES –– A California resident has filed a wrongful death action in state court, contending that his wife’s use of talc-based powder products caused her to develop ovarian cancer.

In the April 15 lawsuit filed in the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County, the plaintiff invoked the discovery rule, saying that the cause of her illness –– and subsequent death –– could not have been discovered “through reasonable care and diligence.”
