Parties Embark on Eighth Day of Trial in Missouri Talcum Powder Case




ST. LOUIS –– The eighth day of trial has begun in an action in which a Missouri woman contends that her ovarian cancer was caused by exposure to talc in powder-based personal hygiene products, according to the state court’s online docket.

According to the Missouri Circuit Court for St. Louis City, evidence on behalf of plaintiff Gloria Ristesund continued on April 20, but was not concluded.

The parties delivered opening statements on April 12; since then, evidence presented on behalf of the plaintiff has been presented to the jury.
