D.C. Woman Says J&J, Supplier, and Trade Association Hid Talc Products’ Carcinogenic Risks

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a recent complaint, a Washington D.C. resident says her use of Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Powder and Shower to Shower has caused her to develop ovarian cancer and that the company ignored various studies evincing the products’ carcinogenic risks.

In a complaint filed in the District of Columbia Superior Court, Denise Simpson also names talc supplier Imerys Talc America Inc. and trade association Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) as defendants, accusing them of perpetuating J&J’s false representations of the products’ safety.
