LOS ANGELES — Lumber Liquidators has been accused of misleading consumers about the quality of the company’s Chinese-made laminate wood flooring after tests on some of the products revealed that one failed to meet even the lowest durability standards.
A class action lawsuit filed May 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California alleges that Lumber Liquidators has falsely advertised its flooring products as falling into a “perfectly adequate” abrasion class rating when testing showed that the quality of the flooring — marked by its ability to withstand normal residential traffic and use — is less …
