Plaintiffs Ask Judicial Panel to Group Lumber Liquidators Cases in Virginia or Florida

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Counsel for plaintiffs in two Lumber Liquidators flooring class actions have filed oppositions to the suggested transfer of all similar cases to California, urging the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to instead establish an MDL in Florida or Virginia.
The arguments were made in separate briefs filed with the JPML, which has been asked by a majority of plaintiffs’ counsel to create a coordinated docket for federal Lumber Liquidators cases in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
