Okla. Federal Judge Orders Insurer to Produce Information Concerning Relationship With Adjustor

OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma federal judge has ordered a homeowners’ insurer to produce documents concerning its relationship with a consulting firm, finding the information is relevant to the plaintiffs’ allegations that the insurer had a close relationship with the firm.

On Dec. 1, Judge Robin J. Cauthron of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma also ordered the insurer to produce the plaintiffs’ underwriting file and certain materials used to train the adjustors and/or decision makers in the insurer’s way of adjusting wind and hail claims.
