TRENTON, N.J. — Wright National Flood Insurance Co. has denied allegations that it breached a Standard Flood Insurance Policy by failing to fully pay a Superstorm Sandy damage claim in full, and has asserted various affirmative defenses, including no cause of action, no right of action, and no breach, causation or damages.
In its Oct. 19 answer filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Wright it did not breach any duty owed to the plaintiffs, and there was no causation or damage attributable to any act, alleged error, or alleged omission by Wright.
