HOUSTON — A Texas appellate court has upheld an $82,878 verdict rendered in favor of a policyholder in a windstorm property damage case, ruling that the evidence supported the jury’s finding that State Farm Lloyds failed to comply with the policy and that the roof damage was not excluded.
In a June 30 opinion, the Texas Court of Appeals, 14th District, further found that the jury’s award of $70,000 in attorneys’ fees is supported by the evidence and is not excessive.
