TOMS RIVER, N.J. — A New Jersey judge has refused to dismiss a lawsuit accusing three law firms and two public adjusters of charging clients seeking insurance proceeds for Superstorm Sandy damage extra costs for expenses that were never actually incurred and/or unlawful fees.
In the April 1 order, Judge Craig Wellerson of the Ocean County (N.J.) Superior Court denied a motion to dismiss filed by The Posey Law Firm and Jake Posey, explaining that defendants may move for summary judgment after discovery is completed.
