CAMDEN, N.J. — A policyholder is urging a New Jersey federal judge to reinstate her Superstorm Sandy coverage action, explaining in a letter to the court that her formal counsel agreed to dismissal of the action without her knowledge or consent.
In a March 30 letter filed before Judge Noel L. Hillman of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the plaintiff asserted that she was never instructed to sign a proof of loss, and that her current counsel has been unable to find evidence of a filed proof of loss prior to suit.
