TRENTON, N.J. — A New Jersey federal judge has denied an insurer’s motions for summary judgment on a restaurant owner’s claims for Superstorm Sandy-related property damage and business interruption losses, noting they are actually motions to strike expert opinions.
On March 17, Judge Mary L. Cooper of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey explained that the issues regarding the reliability of the experts’ opinions should be separately resolved before the court considers the insurers’ motions for summary judgment.
