MINEOLA, N.Y. — A New York judge has consolidated two Superstorm Sandy coverage actions filed by the same policyholder, explaining that the cases arise from the same transaction or occurrence and involve the same necessary parties.
Judge Antonio Brandveen of the Nassau County (N.Y.) Supreme Court further found the parties have knowledge and information relevant to both actions and the witnesses in each action may be almost identical.
