NEW YORK — In a dispute over the location of a reinsurance arbitration involving a Superstorm Sandy property damage claim, Infrassure Ltd. is urging a federal court to dismiss a captive insurer’s counterclaims, arguing that they run afoul of New York law.
In a Dec. 24 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the Swiss reinsurer argued that the two arbitration provisions in the reinsurance contract do not conflict with one another and can be read in harmony.
