NEW YORK — A New York federal magistrate judge has denied Allstate’s motion to reconsider her decision that the attorney work product privilege protects an electrical engineering file, finding the insurer failed to present any facts overlooked by the court.

On July 15, Magistrate Judge Anne Y. Shields of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York found the insurer’s motion “does nothing more than rehash the same arguments put forth in its original motion, offering neither new controlling law nor matters that the Court overlooked.”
