NEWARK, N.J. — A New Jersey federal judge has awarded QBE Specialty Insurance Co. summary judgment in a Superstorm Sandy coverage action, ruling that the insured failed to prove that the property damage was covered under its commercial policy.
In a June 18 order, Magistrate Judge Joel Schneider of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey also excluded the plaintiff’s expert report, deeming it conclusory and speculative.
