CAMDEN, N.J. — A New Jersey federal judge has refused to reinstate a Superstorm Sandy coverage action against Allstate Insurance Co., finding the plaintiffs’ failure to timely respond to the court’s earlier notice of call for dismissal constitutes “inexcusable neglect.”
On Jan. 6, Judge Anne E. Thompson of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey held that allowing plaintiffs to reopen the case would "infringe on the District Court's strong interest in case management.”
