NEW YORK — A New York judge said Nov. 24 he won’t reconsider a prior decision to remand a lawsuit over an insurer’s refusal to cover of a Superstorm Sandy sewer backup claim, but agreed to reduce an award of attorneys’ fees entered as a result of the ruling.
Judge Pamela K. Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York cut the $8,350 fee award by nearly $2,000 after rejecting Narragansett Bay Insurance Co.’s contention that removal of the case was proper based on damages that could result from injunctive relief requested in the plaintiff’s …
