NEW YORK — An electricity supplier accused of negligence in a lawsuit filed by homeowners whose residences were destroyed by fire during Superstorm Sandy has appealed a recent decision that refused to extend any sort of governmental immunity to defendants in the case.
National Grid filed its notice to appeal the decision on July 16, less than two weeks after a Queens County Supreme Court judge denied a motion to dismiss the claims that were also asserted against the Long Island Power Authority.
