NEW YORK — The Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York has created a docket for pretrial administration of all cases seeking insurance coverage for flood and wind damage caused by Superstorm Sandy.
Judge Carol Bagley Amon’s Jan. 13 order creates an In Re Hurricane Sandy Cases filing designation for all Sandy litigation, an administrative step the court says will aid in the efficient and expeditious resolution of common issues among the hundreds of coverage actions filed in the district.
