New Superstorm Sandy Complaint Says Defendants Negligently Designed Breached Berms in Meadowlands

HACKENSACK, N.J. –– Apartment and commercial building owners have filed a lawsuit against developers of wetlands adjacent to their property, saying the defendants were negligent in designing, developing and maintaining berms that were breached as a result of Superstorm Sandy.
In the Oct. 17 complaint filed in the New Jersey Superior Court for Bergen County, the plaintiffs specifically allege that the defendants deviated from accepted engineering practices in designing the mitigation bank and concertainer berms.
