TRENTON, N.J. — A New Jersey yacht club that was destroyed during Superstorm Sandy has sued North American Specialty Insurance Co. and the broker that sold it a policy that the plaintiff says fell significantly short of providing adequate protection against storm-related losses.
The complaint, filed Oct. 1 in Ocean County Superior Court, takes particular aim at Liberty Insurance Associates, the broker hired by Harbour Yacht Club and Marina to recommend and obtain coverage for the Mantoloking, N.J., property.
