CAMDEN, N.J. — A New Jersey couple has sued Fidelity National Indemnity Insurance Co. for its handling of a Superstorm Sandy flood claim that they say was improperly evaluated by an adjuster who investigated the loss on the insurer’s behalf.
Marie and Donald Reed filed their complaint Sept. 26 in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, accusing the adjuster of ignoring clearly defined waterlines caused by the flooding and misrepresenting to the insureds that he had not yet handled a Sandy claim in the town where the Reeds reside.
