NEW YORK — Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. has accused a New York couple of fraudulently joining to their Superstorm Sandy coverage action an insurance adjuster who reviewed their claim before it was allegedly underpaid by the insurer.
In a Sept. 30 removal notice filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, Fireman’s contends that the plaintiffs cannot succeed on allegations the adjuster concealed or misrepresented certain facts about their claim.
