Judge Won’t Allow Late Notice of Claim in Superstorm Sandy Case Against Utility

MINEOLA, N.Y. — A New York couple whose home was destroyed by fire during Superstorm Sandy has been denied leave to file a late notice of claim against Long Island Power Authority for its alleged failure to take action that the plaintiffs say would have prevented the blaze.
Nassau County Supreme Court Judge Arthur M.
