NEW YORK — A New York City law firm that says it was prevented by order of civil authority from accessing its offices for months after Superstorm Sandy has sued its insurer for failing to pay business losses and expenses incurred as a result of the storm.
Bamundo, Zwal & Schermerhorn filed the complaint in New York County Supreme Court, alleging that Sentinel Insurance Co. and Hartford Insurance Co. denied its claim for “significant losses” resulting from its complete inability to conduct business operations for two weeks following the storm.
