Owner of ‘New Jersey Hookers’ Charter Sues ACE over Superstorm Sandy Damage

TRENTON — The owner of a New Jersey charter vessel damaged by Superstorm Sandy has accused ACE American Insurance Co. of retaliation for his decision not to have the boat repaired at a facility recommended by the insurer.
Richard Wilkowski, the owner of Point Pleasant, N.J.-based “Jersey Hookers Charters” says in a lawsuit filed recently in Ocean County Superior Court that ACE refused to completely cover damage caused to his boat and its contends because it was repaired out-of-state, against the demands of his insurer.
Wilkowski also alleges that ACE rendered the Jersey Hooker “non-seaworthy” and uninsurable following the repairs …
