NEW YORK — Continental Casualty Co. has been sued in New York by a grocer that claims it was denied coverage for business losses, food spoilage and additional expenses resulting from a weeklong power outage caused by Superstorm Sandy.
Urban Fresh Corp. filed the lawsuit in Queens County Supreme Court, claiming that the breakdown of covered equipment at its Rockaway, N.Y., store is covered under terms of a boiler and machinery policy it purchased from Continental.
