NEW YORK — A New York property owner has accused its agent-broker of negligence for failing to secure adequate flood coverage for all of the buildings on a Staten Island parcel that was heavily damaged by Superstorm Sandy.
J&A Bruno Family Limited Partnership filed the complaint July 12 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, also naming Nationwide Mutual Fire Insurance for its refusal to cover more than half of a nearly $250,000 loss caused by Sandy floodwaters.
