NEW YORK — A New York City restaurant is seeking $200,000 in a lawsuit it filed against National Specialty Insurance Co. for denying coverage of a flood damage and food spoilage claim submitted after Superstorm Sandy.
The lawsuit, filed in New York County Supreme Court, alleges that National Specialty has yet to provide any factual basis for rejecting T/A La Mela Restorante Italiano’s request for coverage and has refused to resolve the matter within the limits of T/A La Mela’s policy.
