NEW YORK — Aon Risk Services has been sued by a New York City client for allegedly failing to acquire adequate insurance on the company’s behalf that would have covered nearly $1.5 million in losses suffered as a result of Superstorm Sandy.
Uberto Ltd. filed the lawsuit July 1 in New York County Supreme Court, accusing Aon of negligence for what the suit says is “an inexcusable failure to properly procure the very insurance” Uberto had requested when it renewed its coverage just months before Sandy struck.
