NEW YORK — Allegations of trespass and nuisance are among the claims asserted by a New York man who sued his insurer and the owner of a nearby marina for damages caused when a houseboat dislodged from its moorings and crashed into the plaintiff’s home during Superstorm Sandy.
Steven B. Kayne filed the lawsuit May 8 in New York County Supreme Court against Narragansett Bay Insurance Company for its refusal to cover extensive damage to his Merrick, N.Y., residence, which was insured under an all risks policy issued by the insurer.
