NEW YORK — A New York City law firm has sued Sentinel Insurance Co. for denying coverage of business interruption losses the firm sustained when Superstorm Sandy forced it to relocate operations and arrange for new phone service to communicate with clients.
The complaint, filed in New York County Supreme Court, accuses Sentinel of bad faith in its handling of an insurance claim submitted by Gladstein Keane & Partners, which says it was unable to conduct business activities at the firm until it settled into a temporary replacement office nearly a month after the storm.
