BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A New York couple has sued Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. to recover more than $620,000 in damage to their home that was allegedly caused by sewer backup from Superstorm Sandy.
Samuel and Andrea Falack of Brooklyn, N.Y., filed the lawsuit March 22 in Kings County Supreme Court, seeking coverage under their all risk homeowner’s policy, which they say specifically covers physical losses, including sewer backup.
