BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A corporate building owner in Brooklyn, N.Y., has sued its insurer seeking coverage of damage from sewer and sump pump backup that inundated the property during Superstorm Sandy.
In a complaint filed March 11 and removed to federal court earlier this month, 2101 Avenue Z has demanded that Aspen American Insurance Co. pay the $250,000 coverage limit for sewer and drain backup as outlined under its policy.
