HARRISBURG, Pa. — A federal judge has denied landowners’ request for voluntary dismissal of their breach of contract and trespass action against Range Resources Corp. after Range objected to dismissal of its counterclaim to declare the existing lease valid. Sambar Farms, L.P., et al. v. Range Resources Corp., et al., No. 4:11-cv-2245 (M.D. Pa.).

Chief Judge Yvette Kane of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania noted Aug. 16 that Range objected to dismissal of its counterclaim with prejudice and said that the court would not grant a dismissal motion without a stipulation by all parties.
