Family Partnership Says Drilling Firm Hasn't Paid Bonus Due Under 2008 Lease

SCRANTON, Pa. - A family partnership that says it leased drilling rights to a 37-acre tract in Pennsylvania has filed suit over what it says is Cabot Oil & Gas Corp.'s failure to pay the $95,925 signing bonus called for by the 2008 agreement. Mickel Drilling Partners, et al. v. Cabot Oil & Gas Corp., NO. 3:11-cv-00061 (M.D. Pa.).

Mickel Drilling Partners moved May 2 for leave to file an amended complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania to name individual partners. A copy of their proposed amended complaint was attached to the motion.
