PITTSBURGH - Range Resources - Appalachia has asked a federal court to dismiss a tortious interference claim by a Pennsylvania couple who not only contest Range's drilling rights but blame the energy firm for costing the husband his job with a drilling support company. Mason, et ux. v. RangeResources-Appalachia LLC, et al., No. 2:12-cv-00369-RCM (W.D. Pa.).

Range, which previously removed the lawsuit to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania March 26, filed the motion to dismiss April 2, contending that Rugh A. and Sherry L. Mason's employment cause of action fails to state a claim.
