HARRISBURG, Pa. - Three formerly separate drilling company defendants have moved for dismissal from a Pennsylvania laborer's personal injury lawsuit, citing exclusivity provisions of the commonwealth's Workers' Compensation Act. Shamblin, et ux. v. Chesapeake Energy Corp., et al., No. 3:12-cv-00089 (M.D. Pa.).
Nomac Drilling LLC, Gene D. Yost & Sons Inc. and Yost LLC filed the motion on Jan., 20, eight days after removing the lawsuit by Todd A. and Dawn Shamblin from Bradford County (Pa.) Court of Common Pleas to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
