HARRISBURG, Pa. - A Pennsylvania landowner has moved for a preliminary injunction to halt shale gas drilling by Range Resources under what the landowner claims is an expired lease. Williamson Trail Resources, LP v. Range Resources - Appalachia, LLC, No. 4:11-CV-1492 (M.D. Pa.).
Williamson Trail Resources LP moved for the injunction on Aug. 16, saying Range's lease of more than 5,000 acres expired by its own terms on June 22.
