SCRANTON, Pa. - Chesapeake Appalachia LLC has asked a federal judge to allow oral argument on plaintiffs' motion to remand and its motions to strike and dismiss personal injury claims arising from gas drilling operations in Pennsylvania's Marcellus shale region. Armstrong v. Chesapeake Appalachia LLC, et al., No. 3:10-cv-02453 (M.D. Pa.).
The motions have already been briefed, but Chesapeake said that oral argument is needed "to distill and crystallize the numerous, and in some cases complex and interrelated, issues that are raised by three motions currently pending . . . ."
