NEW ORLEANS - BP met the federal court's April 20 deadline and filed cross-complaints and cross-claims for more than $40 billion in contribution or indemnity against its co-defendants in the Deepwater Horizon multi-district litigation. In re: Oil Spill by the Oil Rig "Deepwater Horizon" in the Gulf of Mexico, on April 20, 2010, MDL No. 2179 (E.D. La.).
