N.Y. Court Enjoins Collection Efforts Against Chevron for Ecuador Judgment

NEW YORK - A New York federal judge has granted Chevron's motion for a preliminary injunction against collection efforts in a $9 billion Ecuador judgment for alleged environmental damage, saying it wants to preserve the status quo while related litigation is ongoing in Ecuador and the United States.
