NEW ORLEANS - The Deepwater Horizon MDL court has scheduled a hearing on Feb. 25 for master documents proposed by local government entities pursuing claims against BP and other parties as a result of last year's massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. In re: Oil Spill by the Oil Rig "Deepwater Horizon" in the Gulf of Mexico, on April 20, 2010, MDL No. 2179 (E.D. La.).
The local government plaintiffs filed a motion on Feb. 2 for leave to file a voluntary Local Government Entity Master Complaint and Local Government Short-Form Joinder.
