HARRISBURG, Pa. - Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. has answered a second amended complaint by residents of a central Pennsylvania community alleging water well contamination, denying the allegations and raising numerous affirmative defenses. Fiorentino, et al. v. Cabot Oil and Gas Corp., No. 3:09-cv-02284-JEJ (M.D. Pa.).
Cabot filed its answers on Nov. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Plaintiffs are members of 22 families in Dimock, Pa., who allege that their wells have been contaminated by Cabot's gas drilling efforts on nearby lots.
