NEW ORLEANS -Louisiana officials have asked the federal judge presiding over the Deepwater Horizon multidistrict litigation to reconsider his decision to deny their motions to remand or, alternatively, to stay the proceedings while they appeal. State of Louisiana v. BP Exploration & Production, Inc., et al., Nos. 10-cv-1757, 10-cv-1758, 10-10-cv-1760 and 10-1156 [In re: Oil spill by the Oil Rig "Deepwater Horizon" in the Gulf of Mexico, on April 20, 2010] (E.D. La.).
