Defendants, Plaintiffs Disagree on Pace of Initial MDL Discovery

NEW ORLEANS - BP and other defendants in the Deepwater Horizon multidistrict litigation acknowledge in a proposed case management order that they haven't reached agreement with plaintiffs on a discovery schedule, but urged the court to take a measured approach. Defendants filed a memorandum in support of their proposed CMO on Sept. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, which is the transferee court for all Deepwater Horizon cases.
