HOUSTON - Counsel for BP declined to attend a mediation session in a wrongful death claim being pursued by the family of a Deepwater Horizon worker killed in the rig's April 20 explosion, saying it has tendered defense of claims by Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling Inc. workers to Transocean, which owned the rig.
